China Mobile, which has the most mobile communications users in the world, saw a slight drop of new users in January this year.

The company's users increased by 3.24 million in January, while that number was 3.31 million in December, 2004.

According to China Unicom, the second largest mobile communications operator in China, its newly increased users number was 1.436 million in January, the lowest increase in the past 23 months. The company has told local media this was mainly due to a decrease of CDMA users.
