Open Source Community Of China Starts

The Open Source Community of China has been set up by China OSS Promotion Union (COPU), China Linux Industry Strategic Alliance and CSIP (Center of Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion) of the Ministry of Information Industry.

The Open Source Community of China is aimed at creating an atmosphere for open source software development through government guidance, active participation of enterprises and individuals as well as domestic and international cooperation.

Ni Guangnan, an researcher from Chinese Academy of Engineering, has told local media that the establishment of Open Source Community of China is a useful complement to the development mechanism of traditional enterprises.
