EA Games Come To Chinese Market

Electronic Arts (ERTS), one of the largest interactive entertainment games software developers in the world, has entered into a strategic partnership with Guangzhou Tianyue Network Company.

EA has authorized Tianyue to be the exclusive operator of its game products in mainland China.

Zheng Dongping, deputy general manager of Tianyue, tells local media that the cooperation between his company and EA will be good, but he can not yet disclose the name of the first game to be introduced, nor the detailed schedule of its operation.

A representative from the Guangzhou Municipal Government has told local media that the government is also pleased with the cooperation, believing it will bring a new focus and opportunity for local software and Internet businesses.

Tianyue is a computer game operator founded by Yang Jing, former president of Optisp.
