A day after rumors circulated that David Miller had left his post as head of Dell (DELL) China, Miller is now being welcomed as the new president of Asia Pacific for Lenovo (LNVGY).
David Miller, 42, is joining Lenovo as president of Asia Pacific and senior vice president of Lenovo, effective immediately. He will have responsibility for all of Lenovo's customer-facing business in the Asia Pacific region, including sales, marketing, operations, and service and support. Miller will be based in Singapore and will report directly to Lenovo CEO William J. Amelio.
"I am delighted to welcome David to Lenovo," said Amelio. "He is a passionate, results-driven leader who brings to our organization a wealth of Asia Pacific experience in sales, operations, marketing and channel strategy. He is exceptionally well-suited to roll out a new phase of growth for Lenovo in the Asia Pacific region which is, of course, a key focus for the expansion of our dual business model."
Miller most recently served as president of Dell China. He also spent several years as head of Dell Australia. Prior to joining Dell in 2000, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Wyle Electronics.
