Statistics: Beijing's Telephone Cost Dropped In Third Quarter

October 24, 2006
Telecom & Wireless

The Beijing Municipal Statistical Bureau says that the price of Beijing's telecom products in the third quarter of this year dropped by 9.7% compared with the same period of last year.

In their inspection, BMSB and China's National Bureau of Statistics found that advanced technology and the fierce market competition, particularly via various sales promotions organized by each operator, are the driving force for the price reductions of the telecom products.

Since May, each major operator in Beijing has been launching new package services in order to attract more consumers.
