ZTE and Huawei, two major telecom equipment manufacturers in China, have each won a US$30 million deal during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation that just ended in Beijing.

ZTE has signed telecom equipment contracts with the Kingdom of Lesotho and Ghana, and Huawei has signed a US$30 million contract with Ghana to help the African nation build its telephone network in rural areas.

During the Forum, Chinese enterprises signed more than US$1.9 billion contracts with African countries on 14 programs including infrastructure construction, communications, technology equipment export, resource development, financing and insurance.
