The9 Gives Chen Xiaowei President Position

Chinese gaming company The9 (NCTY) has confirmed that Chen Xiaowei, former head of China.com, will be the new president of the company, effective May 16, 2008.

Chen will be responsible for managing the company's operations and strategic development, and will report to Jun Zhu, The9's chairman and CEO.

Prior to joining The9, Chen served as president of CDC Games and China.com. From August 2003 to June 2005, she was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, New York. Prior to that, Ms. Chen served as anchor and executive producer at CCTV.
