Ku6.com will implement a new round of bandwidth purchases across China in the fourth quarter of 2008 to provide more stable video broadcasting and better experiences to its users.

According to local media reports, at the end of June 2008 Ku6.com gained its second round financing from UMC Capital, SBI Group, Itochu Corporation, DFJe Planet Ventures and DT Capital Partners and the financed income was reportedly over USD35 million. At the same time, relying on the broadcasting of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the launch of the Shenzhou-7 spacecraft, Ku6.com has become one of the fastest developing video website platforms in China.

Commenting on the reasons for the purchase of new bandwidth, general manager in charge of Ku6.com's products says that the company always gives top priority to the experience of users and the improvement of the quality of their products will help to increase the traffic of the website and retain users, which will bring benefits for Ku6.com's sales.

In regards to the sales of advertising, the fourth quarter will be the peak period in 2008. Therefore, the company says the purchase of new bandwidth will become a new opportunity for its sales of advertising in this important period. The bandwidth purchase of Ku6.com will focus on the nine core areas of China, including Xi'an, Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenyang and Chengdu, adds the company. However the company has not specified exact monetary targets for its Internet advertising sales in China.
