One Foundation Joins Hands With Tencent For Internet Donations

The Jet Li One Foundation has jointly launched an online donation platform with Tencent to help Internet users in China make monetary contributions.

Meanwhile, Tencent has announced plans to donate in-kind resources of advertising worth CNY20 million in support of Jet Li One Foundation's monthly donation program which aims to raise more funds for the reconstruction of the areas affected by the earthquake in Sichuan on May 12, 2009.

Guo Kaitian, a representative from the Tencent Charity Foundation, has disclosed to local media that they will also add a special love icon in the new QQ beta instant messaging software and netizens who participate in the monthly donation program of One Foundation via Tencent's website will have this icon shown next to their QQ identification.
