Telecom & Wireless

Chinese telecommunications operator China Mobile has published the ratings for its third round TD-SCDMA equipment tender, with ZTE, Huawei, and Datang gaining listings on the top.

Focusing on ratings in aspects such as business, technology, post-assessment, brand, and industry contribution, this tender reportedly covers 200 Chinese cities, which is expected to determine the basic structure of the future TD-SCDMA market.

Chinese local telecom equipment manufacturers, including ZTE, Huawei, and Datang Mobile, gain the first three positions in the ratings, followed by Nokia Siemens Networks, Potevio, FiberHome, Ericsson, and New Postcom.

Starting from May 4, 2009, China Mobile's third-round TD-SCDMA equipment tender has lasted for more than a month, but the company only publishes the ratings for this tender and the market share results have yet to be revealed.
