Chinese online game operator Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited has reached a cooperative agreement with the Japanese online game developer SNK Playmore to jointly develop an online game product named KOF World.
Under the agreement, Shanda will gain the operating rights of KOF World in mainland China and several other countries.
KOF World is the online edition of SNK Playmore's competitive game product King of Fighters. Apart from the major contents of King of Fighters, KOF World will add the multi-player role-playing game model to integrate the traditional fighting game with the massively multiplayer online role-playing game model.
In addition, KOF World will include some scenes of Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Xi'an, and Beijing, to attract more Chinese MMORPG users.
Li Yu, CEO of Shanda's game subsidiary, told local media that King of Fighters is a game with 15 years of history. The company is honored to cooperate with SNK Playmore and provide better experiences to Chinese users.
