China's online security and privacy protection service provider 360.cn has joined the International Association of Privacy Professionals, one of the world's largest privacy protection organizations.
Qi Xiangdong, president of 360.cn, said that joining the IAPP will offer 360.cn the access to international privacy protection expertise and enable it to operate its businesses according to international security standards.
This is said to be the third security-related move that 360.cn has taken since it publicized its entrusted source code and released recently its User Privacy Protection Pledge Letter.
Established in 2000, IAPP is a professional organization made up of government bodies, research institutions, businesses and professionals from over 50 countries. IAPP boasts advanced privacy protection techniques and is an effective platform for privacy protection professionals to communicate and cooperate with each other.
