Lenovo Group and Hong Kong-headquartered Nikoyo have signed a memorandum of understanding in Beijing to implement marketing and sales cooperation.
Under the agreement, the two parties will work together to implement cooperation in the field of enterprise product solutions, including servers and storage, to provide information technology products and services to their industry clients.
Tong Fuyao, vice president of Lenovo Group, said that with the strategic cooperation, Lenovo will work closely with Nikoyo to provide customers with various software and hardware solutions.
Tao Ying, executive vice president of Nikoyo, said that Nikoyo and Lenovo will integrate their advantages to achieve new results in sectors, including enterprise products, mobile Internet, and cloud computing, to offers solutions that adapt to future development to users.
According to reports in Chinese local media, Lenovo plans to further develop the enterprise products market in 2011. It aims at meeting the computing demands of users in different industries with enterprise computing platforms and solutions, and it will focus on the medium- and high-end storage market. Statistics released by the market research firm IDC show that by the end of 2010, Lenovo's servers have occupied a 10% market share in China.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Nikoyo (Holdings) Limited has been putting effort in the development of business in both Hong Kong and Chinese mainland. It is specialized in sales and services of information technology products while providing comprehensive IT solutions and services to government, financial and banking units. Up to now, the group has four subsidiaries, including three in mainland China and one in Hong Kong; and the total number of its employees has reached nearly 1,000.
