Taiwanese PC maker published its performance results for the second quarter of 2013, stating that due to the sales decrease of laptops and tablets, the company's operating revenue decreased by 13% to NTD99.6 billion.

This is reportedly the first time for Asus to see quarterly operating revenue of less than NTD100 billion since the second quarter of 2012.

However, the company said the operating revenue decline was not unexpected. It said that the second quarter was the operating bottom for the year and the shipment of both laptops and tablets will recover in the third quarter.

For June alone, Asus reported combined operating revenue of NTD33.684 billion, a slight increase of 0.98% compared with May and a decrease of 11.9% compared with the same period of last year.
