Chinese CaaS service provider Alauda.cn has reached a deal with Microsoft's cloud computing service Azure to jointly develop corporate container cloud services.
Yan Zhiqing, head of Microsoft Azure China, said that Azure will establish a platform in China and invite partners to build a cloud services community. Pioneers like Alauda.cn introduce the most advanced cloud computing technologies into China, which allows Chinese enterprise developers to keep up with the latest international trends.
According to Zuo Yue, chief executive officer of Alauda.cn, Docker is leading the world's cloud computing 2.0 technology. In America, Docker has become an official partner of Microsoft Azure and the two parties jointly developed Docker container basing on the Windows operating system. Users can directly use Docker's mirror image warehouse on Azure.
In China, Alauda.cn will also provide a local Docker mirror image warehouse, offering convenient mirror image storage and download services to Azure users. As a Container-as-a-Service company, Alauda.cn has provided container technology-based cloud service solutions to over 10,000 developers and dozens of enterprises.
So far, Alauda.cn has established Azure-based CaaS service system in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Over the past two months, the company deployed over 10,000 containers on Azure. Apart from container managed services, Alauda.cn will also cooperate with Microsoft in providing consultant, service migration, and operation and maintenance management services related to Docker containers.
