China's ZTE Net Profit Up 21.8%

Chinese telecom device maker ZTE is thanking shareholders for increased growth in international markets by issuing a dividend.

ZTE's operating revenue for 2015 was CNY100.19 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23%; while its net profit was CNY3.21 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%.

Meanwhile, the company will pay a cash dividend of CNY2.5 for every ten shares to all shareholders and the total dividend will reach CNY1.038 billion.

In 2015, ZTE realized operating revenue of CNY47.08 billion in international markets, accounting for 47% of its total operating revenue; and its operating revenue in domestic Chinese market was CNY53.11 billion, accounting for 53%.

During the reporting period, ZTE's carrier network business realized operating revenue of CNY57.22 billion; its government and enterprise business realized operating revenue of CNY10.5 billion; and its consumer business realized operating revenue of CNY32.47 billion.

In addition, ZTE invested CNY12.201 billion in research and development in 2015, representing a year-on-year increase of 35.4%. The company reportedly enhanced R&D investment in 5G, high-end router, LTE, SDN, GPON, and core chip.
