According to reports in Chinese local media, Oracle has confirmed that its China Development Center will cut about 900 employees.

The reports said that it is an internal consensus that Oracle China Development Center will be shut down entirely and the second batch layoff may occur in July 2019.

Headquartered in the US, Oracle is a veteran enterprise software company which entered the Chinese market in 1991.

It is said that Oracle previously held a conference call targeting China region and its Asia Pacific human resources head explained in the call that the company was implementing business structure adjustments, which led to the layoff of some people. This would be a global move.

Two months ago, foreign media reports revealed that Oracle planned to cut over 300 people in California, which was a part of the company's adjustment of cloud computing business.
