Tencent Game and Unity jointly announced plans to set up a joint innovation lab.

In this project, the two parties will reportedly implement cooperation in four sectors. For game engine, they will cooperate in deep optimization and technology to promote engine optimization and create start game projects; for game test, they will jointly develop, publish, and maintain Unity's performance analysis tool UPA; for game security, they will jointly build a game security safeguard system; and for developer ecology, they will share cooperation results and experience in developer activities and expand into gaming ecological partners.

Unity is a professional game engine developed by Unity Technologies and it is a real-time 3D development platform which is widely used by global developers. Games made with Unity currently cover nearly three billion devices around the world and they were installed more than 29 billion times over the past year.
