September 8, 2021 Joseph Men San Francisco (Reuters) – A misinformation campaign on social media that supports the interests of the Chinese government has expanded to new languages and platforms, trying to attract people to protests in the United States, researchers said Wednesday. According to Google experts from security firms FireEye and Alphabet, the operation will operate hundreds of accounts in English and Chinese in 2019 with the aim of damaging the credibility of Hong Kong’s democratic movement.
