Chinese BOE ramps up production of OLED displays for iPhones – may overtake LG by 2023

Chinese display maker BOE is ramping up production to meet Apple’s need for OLED smartphone displays. Analytical company UBI Research says that three BOE factories will be engaged in the production of screens for the “apple” company: B7, B11 and B12. This is expected to help BOE overtake LG in OLED shipments to Apple by 2023. BOE’s flexible OLED screen production capacity will be able to produce up to 144,000 substrates per month by the fourth quarter of next year. Now this figure reaches 96 thousand pieces.
