China, the main cradle of cryptoactive mining, has not been able to contain the activity, despite all the repression against the sector. The computing power dedicated to the creation of bitcoin is about to reach a record level, with most miners moving to other countries, where electricity bills are among the cheapest in the world. Currently, bitcoin’s hash rate – which measures the mining levels of the world’s most valuable cryptocurrency and is measured between Quilohash and Exahash – has soared to 172 million “terahashes” per second, the highest since May of according to data released by Blockchain.com.
