The US is banning some main US chipmaking corporations from constructing "superior know-how amenities'' in China, the Biden administration has introduced (opens in new tab).The ban will apply to any firm that receives funding as part of the CHIPS and Science Act, which was accredited by the US Congress in August (opens in new tab), and can final for 10 years. This act goals to extend home manufacturing of semiconductors with an inflow of $50B throughout corporations that apply.
