Chinese auto giant Chery has promised to launch 19 new hybrid models globally this year alone, as part of its aim to offer more fuel-efficient vehicles across global markets. At an event in China today, Chery announced the 19 electrified models will include traditional series-hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains, but not battery-electric (EV) systems.
