The expansion of China’s drone and low-altitude economy into its industrial heartland gained further momentum as Jiangsu Zhongshe Group Architecture Design Co. Ltd. secured the winning bid for the Yixing Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Park.

The project, announced via China's Securities Times, marks a critical step in the city of Yixing’s strategy to capitalize on national aerospace directives and cultivate what Beijing describes as "new quality productive forces." As the central government shifts its focus toward the commercialization of the skies, this new industrial hub is being positioned as a primary engine for regional industrial upgrading and high-quality development in the Yangtze River Delta.

The industrial park represents a strategic investment in the infrastructure required to support the burgeoning drone and urban air mobility sectors. By establishing a dedicated facility in Yixing, local authorities aim to build a specialized ecosystem that integrates research and development, manufacturing, and flight testing within a single controlled environment. This move is part of a broader provincial effort to ensure that the "low-altitude economy" moves beyond conceptual pilot programs and into large-scale, sovereign industrial production.

Jiangsu Zhongshe Group, a firm with deep experience in civil engineering and architectural design, will lead the construction of the site, which is registered under the project identifier 886067. The firm's role will be to create the physical foundation for a new tier of aerospace enterprises that can operate outside the traditional aviation hubs. For global observers, the project underscores how rapidly China is decentralizing its aerospace supply chain, moving advanced manufacturing and flight infrastructure deep into secondary and tertiary cities to create a resilient, interconnected network of technological fortresses.

As the 15th Five-Year Plan prioritizes the integration of the low-altitude economy into the national transport grid, the Yixing park will serve as a localized center for talent cultivation and technical innovation. By funding these specialized parks, Beijing is ensuring that the hardware and software protocols for future aerial logistics are developed within a secure, state-managed framework. The project serves as a clear signal that the race for the "low-altitude" market is no longer just about the aircraft themselves, but about the industrial bases that will sustain and defend them.
