China has raised serious objections to the United States hosting the Group of 20 nations in 2026 as already announced by President Joe Biden’s administration, according to people familiar with the developments. G20 members rotate their presidency of the influential group, including the annual summit of world leaders, and the United States has said it will take it on after India, Brazil and South Africa complete their respective yearlong stints, over the next couple of years.
