Texas has filed a lawsuit against TP-Link Systems, alleging that the Chinese company deceptively marketed its networking devices and enabled the Chinese government to access American consumers' devices.

The state attorney general, Ken Paxton, highlighted that TP-Link's products were utilized by state-sponsored hacking entities from China to launch cyber-attacks against the United States.

Paxton emphasized the national security threat posed by TP-Link's actions, which he described as enabling secret surveillance and exploitation of Texas consumers. Despite TP-Link's claims of privacy and security, the lawsuit asserts that the company's actions have jeopardized consumer data and privacy.
