Sichuan province has unveiled a comprehensive supply and demand directory to accelerate the development of its communications and quantum technology industries, marking another step in the southwestern Chinese region's efforts to anchor itself as a national hub for next-generation technology.
The directory was released Wednesday during a supply-demand matchmaking event and a conference on new-generation communication network construction in Chengdu. The new procurement and supply list spans multiple critical areas, including talent recruitment, technical innovation, industrial chain matching, financial backing, and practical application scenarios.
A batch of collaborative agreements was also signed at the event, covering project implementation, industrial chain partnerships, and industry-finance integration to further enhance the regional industrial ecosystem.
Sichuan authorities have integrated the communication and quantum sectors into the province's "15+N" key industrial chains, prioritizing them for coordinated development. The province has established an innovation ecosystem led by enterprises and supported by universities and research institutes. This network encompasses a complete supply chain ranging from algorithms and components to equipment, full devices, and systems.
Sichuan has developed more than 80 innovative products that are considered leaders both domestically and internationally. High-speed optical modules and satellite telemetry and control products from the province rank among the top in China.
Additionally, Sichuan's quantum computing measurement and control systems serve over 90 percent of quantum computing enterprises, universities, and research institutes across China, and its quantum clock products hold the largest domestic market share. The province's overall industry strength ranks within the top tier nationally and holds the top position in Southwest China.
The conference also showcased several landmark achievements and typical use cases in the sector. Among the highlights were Chengdu Zhongwei Daxin Technology Co., Ltd., which presented its quantum measurement and control systems alongside cryogenic low-noise amplifiers. Another featured case was Chengdu Yangpai Technology Co., Ltd., which demonstrated the application of optical quantum technology in innovative metering equipment for complex industrial fluids.
