Taiwan's Hon Hai and Japan's NEC have reached a cloud computing deal covering China and other Asian countries.

Hon Hai and NEC's cloud computing centers for big data are located in Taiwan's Kaohsiung and mainland China's Guiyang, respectively. The two parties' cloud computing business will be reportedly launched at the end of 2015, targeting corporate users.

Financial terms of the arrangement were not released.

With the cooperation, Japan's NEC will provide cloud computing technologies; while Hon Hai will provide data center and client network solutions. The two parties will promote the new business to their respective customers while working together in sales and marketing.

Technology consulting firm IDC predicted that by 2018, the global cloud computing market scale will reach USD122 billion, increasing by 120% compared with 2014. Meanwhile, market demand in Asia will account for 30%.
