China Unicom Launches PTT Service

China Unicom (CHU) has launched a PushtoTalk (PTT) service in China on its CDMA network.

Different from the traditional "one-to-one" communications via mobile phones, PTT supports group chatting of "one-to-many" services. Users only need to press a specific key before they can learn about their friends' online information and start communicating with them.

Motorola (MOT) has become the first supplier for China Unicom's new service, and three types of Motorola's handsets have been put into the market.
