As the estimated final date of 3G issuance draws near, China Tietong has suddenly declared that it will introduce strategic investors so as to obtain a 3G license.

However, it also denies that it has any plan for an IPO in 2006.

China Tietong's president Zhao Jibin spoke about China Tietong's future blueprint on the company's fifth anniversary this past week.

Zhao said that China Tietong will introduce unnamed strategic investors to implement share transformations and to initiate an IPO plan for after 2006. He added that China Tietong will seek the government's policy support, 3G licenses and other service licenses so as to carry out an all-round service operation.
