Rumor: Dangdang.com C2C Comes To An Untimely End

March 24, 2006
Internet

Local media report that China's B2B service provider and online bookstore Dangdang.com has encountered difficulties in expanding its C2C service and has already stopped the service.

The reports say that Dangdang's C2C platform Dangdangbao will be inactive for at least six months, at which time it may re-launch the service.

There has been no direct comment from Dangdang.com on the issue.

In the interim, the company will focus instead on an online shopping channel which will be formally launched in April as a sub-channel of Dangdang.com.
