Chinese Airlines To Adopt E-tickets From June 1

China's State Administration of Taxation (SAT) and General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) have jointly issued a circular requiring all domestic airlines to start using e-tickets from June 1.

This initial period will last for two years and will be considered a test phase for the e-tickets project.

The new e-ticket will serve as proof of payment and reimbursement voucher for all passengers.

Compared with paper tickets, an e-ticket is more convenient for passengers because it has greatly simplified the ticket buying procedure and allows for quicker airport check-in.
