Tesla opens new knowledge centers in China; buy knowledge locally

BEIJING (Reuters) – U. S. electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc said on Monday it had built a separate hub and knowledge center in Shanghai, where it makes Model 3 sedans and Model Y gaming application vehicles. The center for automotive studies and progression, Tesla’s first outdoor in the United States, employs engineers for software, electronics, fabrics and charging, it said in a statement. The new knowledge center for factory production will buy Tesla’s operational know-how locally.
