Google (GOOG) is rumored to be close to acquiring CMFU.com, a Chinese literature website owned by online game service provider Shanda.com (SNDA).

Local media also report that Chen Tianqiao, president and CEO of Shanda.com, has been keen on cooperating with international brands, and has also expressed his interest in the transaction.

According to local media, a third party auditing company has proposed a recommended price of US$400-600 million for CMFU.com, but Google has not made any comment on this incredibly high price.
