Shanghai Mobile Handles Service For Special Olympics

As a partner of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games, Shanghai Mobile has taken six major initiatives to serve the event which ends this week.

Shanghai Mobile has designed a special card for athletes of the Special Olympics and made it possible for them to make international calls with the card. It has also made 50,000 mobile phone pre-paid cards for the Special Olympics, which have face values of CNY50 and CNY100, respectively.

Shanghai Mobile has also opened an official website to provide Special Olympics related news, competitions and volunteer activities and the website can be accessed via mobile phones. It has launched mobile phone television service for the Special Olympic Games. The company has also provided free color ring services for Olympic staff as well as SMS in 29 venues and five major transportation hubs.
