China Mobile (CHL) has chosen Sybase 365 to extend its international SMS connectivity to an additional 44 countries and more than 130 operators.

The newly added destinations include countries across Southeast Asia, South America, the Pacific Islands, the Middle East and Africa. Sybase 365 has been providing international SMS connectivity to China Mobile for the past several years and today services a total of 50 countries and more than 200 operators.

"Our partnership with China Mobile is another milestone for our success in the burgeoning Chinese and the Southeast Asian markets," said Marty Beard, president for Sybase 365. "China Mobile's trust in our global interoperability experience and capabilities since 2006 is testament to our position as the leading provider of mobile messaging services across Asia, and indeed the rest of the world."

Sybase 365 says it solves the complexities of interoperability management, enabling operators to raise the value of their international messaging by dramatically expanding their global reach. Sybase 365's unrivaled global footprint reaches more than 700 mobile operators and 2.4 billion mobile subscribers.
