The China Search Joint Venture Company which was co-funded by China Internet News Center and IDG, formally announced its establishment in Beijing on February 26.

It has begun to publicize its three types of public-oriented search services: Software-net Pig, Shopping Search and Games Search.

China Search, which was originally called Hui Cong Search, was set up in December 2003. Subsequent to its establishment, China Search has received support from China Internet News Center (China Net). Currently, China Search offers a search engine service covering more than 1400 websites inside and outside China.
