Combating a New Breed of Hackers & Fraudsters

Singapore (March 11, 2009) /ChinaNewswire.com/ — With the growing number of applications to exploit on the converged Mobile IP Networks, a plethora of online avenues and revenues to pilfer, and many more corporate networks to hack, cyber-criminals appear to have no shortage of targets to pursue. The heightened interest and response from law enforcement worldwide in bringing cybercriminals to justice may well result in malicious hackers being increasingly aggressive and creative in their efforts.

The challenge to network designers and their security professionals is to keep ahead of the cybercriminals. A bigger challenge is to identify how to balance security in the OpEx versus CapEx equation.

To prevent such a fraud and security issues, UNI Strategic is proudly organizing a workshop on "Mobile & NGN Security & Fraud Workshop", held on 29 – 30 April 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This workshop will enable participants to better understand, effectively implement, and manage their own fraud and security program as well as take a proactive approach in monitoring and trouble-shooting for possible loopholes and lapses.

The Course Facilitator, David Pullen, is the CEO of FML and has no more than twenty years of experience in the many aspects of loss control. He was Head of Fraud Management at Mercury Communications (Cable and Wireless) and a Principal Consultant for PA Consulting Group. He has hands-on experience of leading-edge Revenue Assurance and fraud management techniques and has brought best practice to more than 70 organizations world-wide; across virtually every continent. David has been responsible for the design and implementation of many revenue assurance, fraud and security management organizations and systems. He has managed many large revenue protection projects and has particular expertise in the development of strategy and policy for revenue assurance and fraud management.
