Asustek To Build China Plant

Asustek, a consumer electronics firm, is set to build a production plant in Shanghai, China.

According to the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the company will spend around $25 Million (US) on the project. Asustek's current production plant in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province also in China employs 34,000 employees with a net revenue of $6 Billion (import and export) noted in 2003. The plant will help Asustek focus it's efforts on producing it's current line of products at a higher production rate. The list includes motherboards, notebooks, game consoles and other IT products in China.
