Irish consumers spent €53 million per day using contactless payments during Q4 of 2022 according to the Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI). This was the highest daily spend since the BPFI began recording the data in 2016. Almost €17.9 billion in contactless payments were made across the year, up 31.4% on 2021.
