Cyclades Brings Out-of-Band Network Management To China

January 13, 2004
Editorial Staff

Cyclades Corporation, a data center management company that reduces unplanned downtime, today announced the opening of Cyclades China in Shanghai.

The event follows the launches of seven European and Asian sales offices in 2003, bringing to 12 the number of international facilities dedicated to delivering to 8,000 enterprise customers worldwide out-of-band solutions, including console access, power control, KVM and systems management that minimize human intervention and decreasing maintenance costs.

Cyclades' out-of-band network management solutions, including the AlterPath family of data center products and solutions, provide an alternative path to network nodes via console ports when connectivity is lost or the network is down. Cyclades out-of-band management products can be used with "in-band" management systems, which address application–not infrastructure–failures to provide enterprises with complete network management capabilities.
