Japan's Toei Animation and Tom Online (TOMO) have reached an agreement on the provision of a mobile content service in the Chinese market.

The two companies will leverage Toei's resources in animation characters to develop a cellular content service, including background images for standby screens.

Slated for launch in September, the content service will be distributed via Tom's portal site to China Mobile users.
