China UnionPay has opened its first overseas representative office in Singapore.

At present, there are 3500 sites in Singapore that deal with China UnionPay's card-related business and the organization's card can be used to withdraw cash at as many as 4500 ATMs in Singapore.

It is expected that the establishment of this office will help boost the cooperation between China UnionPay and Singapore as well as with other surrounding countries in Asia.

Liu Yongchun, deputy executive officer of China UnionPay, says that more than 99% of POSs and ATMs in China have joined their network, and China UnionPay's card can be used in about 20 countries and regions across the world.
