Internet | Law & Policy

Chinese Internet company Oak Pacific Interactive announced on April 24, 2009, that it would stop the operation of Age of Seventh Dragon, a webgame developed by the company, and the webgame was closed on April 28.

According to Mop.com, a subsidiary of Oak Pacific Interactive and the game service provider of Age of Seventh Dragon, the balance in the accounts of paid players will be transferred to another online game and the players will receive some game items in the new game.

However, some players say they are not interested in that new game and want to get back the balance of their money. Some players even say they will sue the game service provider, according to local media reports.

As a myth-styled webgame, Age of Seventh Dragon has been operated for nearly one year. Not long ago, the game reportedly launched a promotion to give virtual gifts to players who recharged their accounts.
