Chinese home appliances and electronics group TCL has signed a framework agreement with Urumqi Economic & Technological Development Zone, to build a TCL industrial park project in Xinjiang.
At the same time, Xinjiang TCL Energy Company was formally launched.
As a leading color TV brand in China, TCL says it actively supports the development and construction of Xinjiang. The TCL Xinjiang industry park will first build three LCD/LED color TV production lines with the annual production capacity of one million sets. In addition, the group will focus on its long-term development in Xinjiang and integrate home appliances production and distribution in the industrial technology zone.
Li Dongsheng, chairman of TCL Group, said that TCL is a large enterprise that focuses on the electronics industry. With the construction of the Xinjiang industry park project, it hopes to establish Xinjiang as its important industry base for its future development while improving the industry layout of Xinjiang and the northwestern areas of China.
As one of the largest consumer electronics groups in China, TCL has three listed companies. The group has developed major industry clusters, including multimedia, communication, and home appliances. It has also expanded into broader sectors like real estate, logistics and services.
