Xiaomi Group recently published its annual financial report for 2018, which is also the company's first annual financial report after listing.

According to the report, Xiaomi Group's operating revenue in the fourth quarter of 2018 was CNY44.4 billion, while its market expectation was CNY46.24 billion. The group's operating profit in the fourth quarter was CNY3.21 billion.

For the entire year of 2018, Xiaomi Group's total operating revenue was CNY174.9 billion and its net profit was CNY13.6 billion. After adjustments, Xiaomi Group's annual net profit was CNY8.55 billion, a year-on-year increase of 59.5%; while its market expectation was CNY8.25 billion.

The report also revealed that Xiaomi's smartphone sales were CNY113.8 billion during the reporting period, a year-on-year increase of 41.3%. Statistics from the market research firm IDC showed that in 2018, global smartphone shipment decreased by 4.1% compared with the previous year. However, Xiaomi's smartphone shipment achieved an increase of 29.8%, reaching total shipment of 119 million units.
