China's Huawei recently published its financial report for 2018, stating that the company's total revenue in 2018 was CNY721.2 billion, which was about USD107 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.5%; and its net profit was CNY59.3 billion, a year-on-year increase of 25.1%.

Meanwhile, Huawei's research and development expense in 2018 reached CNY101.5 billion, accounting for 14.1% of its total revenue and the company's total R&D expense over the past ten years reached CNY480 billion.

During the year of 2018, Huawei's operator business realized sales of CNY294 billion, which was on the same level of that of 2017.

In the enterprise business sector, Huawei provided technologies like cloud computing, big data, AI, Internet of Things, and fusion communication and products like data center, all flash, and Wi-Fi, achieving total sales CNY74.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.8%.

In regards to cloud business, Huawei Cloud provided over 160 cloud services and 140 solutions and it operated 40 applicable areas in 23 geographical regions around the world with partners. The company reportedly has more than 6,000 global partners and its AI service explores over 200 projects in ten industries.

For consumer business, Huawei's sales increased by 45.1% year-on-year to CNY348.9 billion.
