The US again barred a Chinese telecom company for fear of espionage. After telecom giant Huawei, it is now the turn of the American subsidiary of China Telecom. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the government agency charged with overseeing telecom companies, decided on Tuesday to revoke China Telecom’s license. The company has been active in America for 20 years, but now has to cease all activities in the US within 60 days.
