Stellantis Partners with Taiwan Firm to Design and Sell Semiconductors

Stellantis, which has its North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, and Hon Hai Technology Group (also known as Foxconn) in Taiwan, today announced they have signed a non-binding agreement to create a partnership to design semiconductors for the automaker as well as third-party customers. “Our software-defined transformation will be powered by great partners across industries and expertise,� says Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis. “With Foxconn, we aim to create four new families of chips that will cover over 80 percent of our semiconductor needs, helping to significantly modernize our components, reduce complexity, and simplify the supply chain.
