An analysis by the Washington Post finds that Chinese telecommunications firm Huawei may have played a larger role in surveillance and software programs than previously acknowledged by both the company and the government. The review of more than 100 Huawei PowerPoint presentations, many marked “confidential,” suggests that the company had a broader role in enabling more efficient tracking of China’s populace.
